Experience Nature and Silence in Lapland The Northern Gateway to the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park

Hetan Kota is located in Hetta, Enontekiö, next to the lake Ounasjärvi. We have room for 45 persons. Our location offers great opportunities for outdoors activities in pure nature during all four seasons. There are many hiking routes and well prepared skiing tracks close neraby. The Fell Lapland Nature Center and Jyppyrä, a hill with a great view over the village, are also close.

Campfire atmosphere

Ullajärven laavu, a campfire site, is located about five kilometers away from Hetan Kota. This is a great place to rest while skiing or hiking. The campfire site offers a good view to the Ounastunturit fells, which makes it a great place to enjoy the midsummer sun or the beautiful autumn colors.

Relax in nature

Hetan Kota is located at north end of the well known Hetta–Pallas hiking route, which goes through the Pallas–Yllästunturi National Park. There are numerous open wilderness huts and reservable wilderness huts along the area.

Winter time in the region offers great possibilities for cross country skiing.There are many well prepared skiing tracks in the area and they can be reached easily from Hetan Kota. You can follow the maintenance of the tracks here.

Hetan Kota is also a great place to start fishing trips in lake Ounasjärvi, the river Ounasjoki, or in another of the many small streams nearby.
