Hetan Kota hiking and camp centre is set near the famous Hetta-Pallas fell hiking trail – in the nothern end of it. The trail is in the Pallas-Ounas National Park, and there are several great open wilderness huts and reservable huts along the trail. In the winter, visitors can use the machine-groomed cross-country skiing trails of various lengths starting from the Hetan Kota area. In the summer, fishing is possible at the Lake Ounasjärvi and River Ounasjoki. The services of the Fell Lapland Nature Centre and a downhill skiing centre as well as motorcycle safari services offered by a local entrepreneur are also available in the vicinity.
